SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN at the UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY (USNA) located Annapolis, MD.
- You will serve as primary point of contact for engineering support, manufacturing operations, and technical services.
- You will direct engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and technical support operations supporting the educational, research, and operational missions of the School of Engineering, Computing, and Weapons.
- You will identify training needs and support workforce development initiatives.
- You will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating branch operations and workforce performance.
- You will provide oversight of engineering support services for faculty research, midshipman capstone projects, laboratory operations, prototype development, fabrication activities and specialized engineering initiatives.
Requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manages personnel, equipment, facilities, and resources of an engineering production environment; 2) Utilizes advanced manufacturing technologies including CNC machining, welding, composites fabrication, additive manufacturing, woodworking, and sheet metal fabrication; 3) Plans, coordinates, and leads studies involving technical operations, manufacturing processes, laboratory support functions, and administrative activities and 4) Reviews project progress and resource utilization to identify risks and initiate corrective actions.
